Kara Ziebelman (b. 1998) grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has been residing in NYC since 2019, and is currently a student at Hunter College.

Kara’s artwork is inspired by nature, the subconscious, and dreams. Her work is made using intuitive processes with minimal planning, and is made with a mixture of oil pastel, colored pencil, watercolor, and acrylic paint. She also enjoys using digital mediums such as Adobe and Procreate in her work.

When designing, whether it be UX or graphic design, Kara likes to retain some of the playfulness of her art , while applying more constraint and critical thinking to bridge the gap between creativity and functionality, and fulfill the project’s demands.
